There are many of us who still remember where we were when we heard the news. We won't forget anytime soon, but with time we move on, now looking upon that day from a distance. Teens who weren't even born at the time of the attacks will soon be entering freshman year and taking driver's education classes.
It's good to move forward and healthy to heal. But we should never forget the tragedy of that day, even if the reminder is a sharp one. Kevin Cosgrove's call to 911 from inside the South Tower (WTC 2) cuts deep, providing a glimpse of the humanity forced to face horror on that September morning. It may not be easy to listen to, but may it help us to remember the 2,996 lives lost that day were just that - Lives. Lost.
