On a December morning in 2005, photographer Chris McLennan captured this image of adventurer Johnny Tate abseiling 100m (330ft) into a section of the Waitomo Caves popularly known as "The Lost World".

Located in the North Island of New Zealand, the Waitomo Cave System is famous for its vertical drops, mineral & limestone formations and bioluminescent insect larvae, known as glowworms.
